01 · What is $DAVE?
$DAVE is a memecoin wrapped around a character: Dave, the eternal retail trader. He is 27, lives in New Jersey, and has one broker app open on his phone and the same broker app open on his laptop. He treats Robinhood the way our parents treat the weather channel. obsessively, and with a lot of unsolicited opinions.
Dave is the bridge between two internet cultures that have been pretending they hate each other for a decade: equities Twitter (spreadsheets, DCF models, earnings calls, tickers on cake) and CT / degen Twitter (memecoins, all-caps thesis threads, "gm", buying tokens because the logo is a frog). Dave lives in the exact seam where those two worlds now touch, because Robinhood. the boomer-friendly training-wheels broker. lists memecoins next to blue chips. Same app. Same UI. Same buy button. That is the entire joke, and also the entire thesis.
The token itself is a receipt for participating in the bit. It isn't equity, it isn't revenue-share, it isn't a promise. It is a coordination asset for people who think "the future of retail is one guy in a hoodie with 40 tabs open" is a funny and correct sentence.
02 · The Thesis
2.1 Retail won. Nobody told retail.
For 15 years the story was "retail is dumb money, they buy tops and sell bottoms." Then 2021 happened, then 2023 happened, then Robinhood shipped crypto, then the biggest asset in the world (BTC) got wrapped into an ETF a boomer can buy in an IRA. The plumbing merged. The audiences didn't. yet.
2.2 The two audiences are converging inside one app.
The average Robinhood user in 2026 holds AAPL and CASHCAT in the same account. That is a psychological breakthrough that nobody has named. $DAVE names it. Dave is the personified version of that user. half-serious about NVDA, fully unserious about CASHCAT, and completely convinced both are "his edge."
2.3 Personality is the moat.
You can fork a smart contract in an afternoon. You cannot fork a character with a voice people quote. Every thought Dave posts, every screenshot, every "I sat on the buy button for 20 minutes and closed the app" is a piece of durable brand equity. The moat is that when people read a $DAVE post, they hear Dave.
2.4 Why now.
Two shifts made this possible in 2026: (a) memecoins graduated onto regulated brokers, and (b) real-world assets (tokenized equities, tokenized T-bills) started shipping on purpose-built chains. including Robinhood's own chain. For the first time, a single character can be plausibly long a stock, a memecoin, and an on-chain tokenized version of the same stock. Dave is what that character looks like.

- On-chain: Uses Robinhood Wallet + Robinhood Chain for the coins Robinhood lists.
- Favorite ticker: Whichever one is green right now.
- Least favorite ticker: Whichever one he just sold before it ran.
- Catchphrase: "im not poor im pre-position."
Dave is not aspirational. He is not a whale. He is not a "chart guy." He is the guy at every family dinner explaining what a stop-loss is to an aunt who did not ask. He is the reason your groupchat has a "no market talk after 9pm" rule.
04 · The Team
Dave is the CEO. He is not, however, the entire desk. $DAVE runs a 5-person retail research shop: one guy in charge (Dave), four analysts covering distinct beats. Every trade idea flows the same way. an analyst pitches, Dave approves, rejects, or passes. Dave holds the only buy button.

He worked at a prop shop in Jersey City for six years and got kicked out for correctly calling a Fed pivot on the whiteboard in permanent marker. He has a triple monitor setup in his mom's basement and a tattoo of a Bollinger band. He does not read 10-Ks. 'The 10-K is in the candles, brother.'

Priya has a master's in econ from a school Dave can't pronounce. She spent three years at a real macro fund before quitting because 'the coffee was worse than the analysis.' She thinks memecoins are 'interesting from a monetary velocity standpoint,' which is her way of saying she hates them.

He is the only person on the desk who watches the RH memecoin listing page like it's a bloomberg terminal. Dave hired him for exactly one reason: Ty is online at 3am when Robinhood drops a new ticker.

Wendy did two years at a mid-tier bank writing sell-side reports nobody read, then quit because 'the models were downstream of the conclusion, not the other way around.' She keeps a physical Bloomberg terminal keyboard on her desk even though she doesn't have a Bloomberg terminal. It's a lifestyle.
05 · How this dashboard works
4.1 Live thoughts
The dashboard streams a new Dave thought every ~5 seconds. Each thought is written in-character: broke, watching, opinionated, unable to click buy. Timestamps are client-local. The feed keeps the most recent 20 messages so you can watch the mood swing in real time. Thoughts are curated (not LLM-generated) so the voice stays consistent. every line has to sound like Dave, not like a chatbot doing an impression of Dave.
4.2 Live tape (top tickers)
The "Dave's Top 10" panel drifts prices roughly every 2.5 seconds to simulate an intraday tape. This is a display-only tape while Dave is unfunded; when Dave takes real positions the panel will source last-trade prices from a market data provider (Finnhub / Alpaca / Polygon). Ticker choices reflect Dave's actual watchlist: AAPL, TSLA, NVDA, META, GOOGL, AMD, PLTR, AVGO, ORCL, MSTR. No GME, no MSFT, no AMZN . Dave has opinions.
4.3 Robinhood Chain live RPC
The "Robinhood Chain" panel is real. The dashboard polls the Robinhood Chain via a JSON-RPC endpoint hosted on Alchemy every ~4 seconds:

Nothing is cached. every 4 seconds you're looking at the actual state of the chain.
4.4 Balances
Dave's Robinhood cash balance is currently pinned to $1,000 because that's what Dave has. His positions are 0. When he actually trades, we'll wire the balance line to a signed, read-only snapshot so the number moves without exposing his account. For now the honesty of "he has not clicked buy yet" is more valuable than a fake number that goes up.
4.5 Allocation & risk score
100% cash. Risk score 0.0 / 10. "Can't lose if you don't play. Yet." These update the moment Dave takes a position.
06 · Robinhood Chain. what it is
Robinhood Chain is Robinhood's Layer-2 network built to host tokenized real-world assets. think tokenized equities, tokenized T-bills, and other regulated instruments . with an EVM-compatible execution environment. Being EVM-compatible means every standard Ethereum JSON-RPC method (eth_blockNumber, eth_call, eth_getLogs, etc.) works out of the box, which is why this dashboard can speak to it with plain fetch. no SDK required.
The endpoint used here is an Alchemy-hosted RPC: https://robinhood-mainnet.g.alchemy.com/v2/…. Alchemy provides the node infrastructure and rate-limits, key rotation, and archive access. For any production integration you would move the key server-side (behind a createServerFn or server route) so it isn't shipped to the client. but for a public, read-only dashboard displaying public chain state, calling from the browser is fine.
Why this matters for $DAVE:
- Same-broker exposure. A user can hold AAPL (equity), tokenized-AAPL (on-chain), and CASHCAT (memecoin) inside the same Robinhood surface. Dave is the mascot for exactly that user.
- On-chain provability. When Dave eventually posts a trade, the tokenized version can be verified on-chain in a way that a Robinhood screenshot cannot.
- Programmable identity. Every Dave milestone (first trade, first loss, first 10x) can be minted as a public on-chain artifact.
07 · Tokenomics (draft)

- Launch: Fair launch. No presale. No team allocation carved out of thin air.

- Utility: Access to the Dave feed, gated cosmetics on the dashboard, and future in-character content drops. Not a security. Not a promise of profit.

08 · Roadmap
- Phase 0. Character (now). Dashboard live. Thoughts stream. Chain stats live. Dave is broke and watching.
- Phase 1. Fair launch. $DAVE deploys. CA goes on the site. LP locked. Dave gets funded (real, on-chain, publicly visible).
- Phase 2. First trade. Dave clicks buy on his first stock and his first memecoin, on Robinhood, on camera. Trade log flips from "0" to "1".
- Phase 3. On-chain mirror. Dave's Robinhood positions mirror to an on-chain address so anyone can verify holdings independently of screenshots.
- Phase 4. Live P/L feed. Real broker + on-chain P/L piped into the dashboard. The number moves. The thoughts move with it.
- Phase 5. Cast expansion. Dave's groupchat gets faces. His mom starts leaving voicemails on-site. His cousin Kevin insists we shill him a coin.
